Poem

My name is associated with flowers, Flores,
It means, "descendent of Floro(flower);
dweller near where flowers grow".
My name is also Hispanic,
it is Spanish for flowers.
My full name is Marcus Giovanni Flores,
I am called many nicknames at home,
Macho, Marco, Marky, and others, but I am mostly called Marky.
I have only lived in Lorain and Elyria that I can remember,
but I never left Ohio, except when I was a baby.
I am personally proud of my last name, Flores,
because it is my fathers' last name,
while I love my father my mother hates him.
My hobby is to play games, on the weekend, my T.V. would sing all night
When I was younger my teddy bear would always dance around like a ballerina,
and when my name was chosen,
I got this name because when I was born,
my family was arguing over what to name me,
and my mother said, "Shut up! We'll name him Marcus!",
my family said that she was a fire truck
and that's how I was named Marcus.

  2. Marcus,
Having the name Flores, do you have a favorite flower? I think that meaning is special and unique.

  7. Adding your nicknames was a great touch, and the fact that you love your name even though your mom doesn't makes it so much better.
